Myra Snow, 70 years old, passed away Saturday, February 25th 2023 at the Evergreen Hospice facility.
She was the wife of Larry Bovard. They shared 32 wonderful years of engagement and marriage. Myra
was born in Honolulu, Hawaii, to parents Pedro and Emily Parong. They moved to Seattle
in 1957. After graduating from high school Myra married her first husband. They had a daughter and
Myra was a homemaker. Myra divorced in the early 80s and moved to Redmond, WA. She secured a
position with Group Health Cooperative, Redmond. Shortly after working in the admitting office, she
transferred to the Ophthalmology department. She demonstrated great communication skills working
with patients in Eye Care. The patients loved her and would often call just to talk to her. Myra
pioneered an ophthalmic triage position where she excelled and gained the trust of the entire Eye Care
team. She stayed with the team through Group Health’s acquisition by Kaiser Permanente and
subsequent move to Bellevue. She retired in April 2018.
Myra is survived by her loving husband, Larry, daughter Cristina, grandchildren Domonique and Eric,
great-grandchildren Eli and Lincoln, and her sister Paulette and brother-in-law Roger.
Myra loved her home and enjoyed spending time there. Her only request for a memorial is
that we plant geraniums in the spring in her honor.
