Scott’s life was a gift to all who knew him—full of steady faith, quiet strength, genuine kindness, and deep love for his family and friends.
Born on August 2nd, 1965, in Fremont, CA, to Garry and Carroll Minor, Scott earned a business degree from San Jose State University and built a career in medical device manufacturing. Later, Redmond, WA became home to Scott and his family. After retiring early at 54, he enjoyed working behind the scenes on the security team at summer winery concerts.
He brought integrity, humor, warmth, and a willing heart to everything he did, brightening ordinary moments and leaving people better simply by being present.
Scott’s greatest joy was his family. He shared 32 wonderful years of marriage with his beloved wife, Gen, and took great pride and delight in their daughter, Jordan.
Those who knew Scott will remember his gentle spirit, quick humor, calm presence, and the joy he found in making others feel welcomed, valued, and cared for.
After a courageous journey with metastatic lung cancer, Scott passed peacefully, surrounded by his family’s love. Today we rejoice that he is whole, free from pain, and resting in the arms of his Savior.
Scott is survived by his beloved wife, Gen Minor; his daughter, Jordan Beeson; and his mother, Carroll Minor. He was preceded in death by his father, Garry Minor.
A Celebration of Life will be held on June 28th, 2026 at 2:30pm at Timberlake Church in Redmond, WA, followed by a reception.
To honor Scott’s memory, share a smile, love people well, extend kindness freely, and help someone in need—just as he did.
Scott’s legacy is one of love, faith, compassion, devotion, and joy. Though he will be deeply missed, we celebrate a life beautifully lived and find comfort in God’s promise that we will be together again.
"I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith." — 2 Timothy 4:7
