Grateful for the love that we shared and memories we created. 3 years gone but we still miss you Swami !!!

It has been 3 years and every day it gets harder to believe you are really gone. One day I wish you would come back and say everything is okay. Not a single day goes by that I wish you were here to witness what I have accomplished. Trying to remember all the beautiful memories we had always wishing we had more. I really want to talk to you. Come back soon please ❤️

Today is almost the end of a year without Swami(cant believe time flies so quickly). We are still grieving his loss, unable to process/accept what happened and will continue to miss him for the rest of our life.

Glad I was part of his journey for 16 solid years from the time of our engagement. There was not a moment of dullness when he was there. We enjoyed doing everything together - from grocery shopping to cooking, baking, hiking, biking, gardening, travel, kids classes and lots of family play time even though his work life kept him super busy. A down to earth person, so caring and loyal - we deeply miss you Swami but will continue to hold the legacy you have left us and also cherish the memories we have created together.

I will monitor this site frequently - request you all to please continue sharing wonderful memories of Swami. Thank you all once again for being there for us !!

I had indirectly known Swami at work. Just all of a sudden I got reminded of him. I aspire to be him. He will always be a great role model, a man larger than life! People like him should be celebrated.

When I think of Swami, I remember his amiable smile, positive words and mannerism. There is uniqueness and attraction in it. It will draw anyone close to him… During the recent conference call with other RECT college mates, I got an opportunity to meet him after a long time and was very happy to hear his accomplishments. Now, when I look at the photos shared by friends, family and colleagues, Swami has left us his legacy and fond memories which will be remembered for times to come. My sincere prayers and condolences to his family and kids.

I've been in utter shock and disbelief over the past few days since I heard the news of Swami's passing and feel like I only got some closure today at his funeral. I never really got a chance to meet Swami in-person over the last couple of years when I was in the Amazon Prime team but never imagined that our first meet will be under such extraordinary circumstances. While my interactions with Swami were mostly work related, I enjoyed each of those discussions - he was hands-down one of the nicest leaders I have worked for who was extremely nonchalant and had an incredible combination of both business and tech acumen which is a rarity. As it shows from other posts here, Swami touched so many of our lives even if it was just a 5-min side conversation. I still fondly remember when Swami pinged me and welcomed me to the Prime team on my 1st day and said that he remembered me from a very brief interaction I had with him 4 years earlier when I was in the Risk Management team. 

Swami was a high achiever and always one step ahead of us and it feels like he decided to leave this world at the same pace as well. They say everything happens for a reason, but this feels like one of those things for which we may never be able to comprehend the real reason.  

RIP Swami - you will always be in my prayers, and I hope God gives Lakshmi, Ananya and Aarush all the strength to overcome this tragic loss and help them fulfill their dreams. 

I met Swami through a common friend and I must say he instantly created a lasting impression. He shared stories of his ardent hiking experience in Arizona, and his insights into real estates and so on. He seemed like a guy who knew it all. Such a notable person I thought.  His perceptions, his articulation and his smile, was very captivating and we were all ears to every word he uttered.

I wish i met him more. More so, after i read the out pour of love people have for him. 

Swami is an inspiration. I hope and pray for immense strength for his family to cope with this situation and celebrate him for the life he lived and memories he left us with. 

I know only Swami through a common friend of us Magesh . I have never met him but reading about him here tells me what a great person he was.  Swami is in our neighboring Community and it makes me and my family very sad to hear about his Untimely demise. A person who is loved by so many people is very rare to come across. His smile itself tells us that he was amicable, jovial and of helping  nature.

At this difficult and saddest hour we offer our condolences to his family and pray to God to give them the strength.

Though I only knew you briefly, I found a profound sense of joy and connection in you and have always loved to see your smile. Swami, in my 5 years of knowing you - I remember you as the manager who always had his doors open. You were so approachable. When I came to you back in 2019 with some trouble you took time out, listened to me patiently and addressed my concerns. You made sure that I was ok the whole time along. 

You stayed in touch while I moved out of Prime, always checking in to make sure things were going ok at my end. I remember vividly introducing my parents to you at work once and how warmly you received them and talked to them. They were in a state of shock when I told them that you have left us.

You will be sorely missed. RIP.

Lakshmi, Ananya, and Aarush -- I am deeply sorry for your loss. Although I only just joined Amazon and knew Swami for a short time, everyone here only has incredible things to say about him as a person, friend, and leader. He inspired so many people and was pure of heart. He will be greatly missed.

Swami and I only worked together a short time but the impact he had on me and our teams was tremendous. His support gave a strong sense of security and as an executive he listened, and responded with empathy and care. In one of our last 1v1s Swami opened up about his family and how important family is to actually be successful by ending our conversation with, "...nothing else matters except the people who love you back." He always had a way with words. You will be missed by so many Swami and I will continue to pray for your family and friends.

Remembering Swami from the picnic on Father’s Day 2021. He is always full of energy and enthusiastic to talk about a wide range of topics. He had a good sense of humor and fun to hang out with. I only knew Swami a short time and still feel an incredible void. This speaks volumes about who he is and the impact he had on people.  He's the only Amazon leader that has ever asked me what I want in a job. He's the only leader that has made me feel truly valued. He left incredibly too early and I will continue to keep his family in my thoughts and prayers. 

You are a person who have had impact on many lives, I am one of them. You will be missed a lot. I am so happy to have gotten the opportunity to work with you. My best memory with Swamy was my trip to Phoenix in 2007. He always went above and beyond to make anyone happy. He will stay in everyone’s heart for all the good memories he had created.. Wherever he is, I’m sure he will be the guardian angel of his loved ones..

Dear Swami, Writing this message feels very unreal . We had fun times in RECT as roommates. You were always cheerful, optimistic & quick witted guy. I was overjoyed when I meet you & your family in Redmond after many years. We used run into each other being in the same town. However, I wish we could have connected more often as lot of things in life is taken for granted. It's ineffable to express about how we feel especially for your loved ones. May you be the guardian angel  for your family & rest peacefully. 



I remember how every week appa would have a story on how someone would say he looked younger than his age. As a  young kid,  you came  into our family, terribly upset because athimber (brother-in-law) took your akka (sister) to Madippakkam in Chennai, after her marriage to my younger brother. As fate would have it, you became adopted son to our Appa/Amma & I/Subha your anna manni once you moved with us. 

Since then, you made us all proud always, becoming the  school topper where your  score in HSC is still unbeaten after 24 years, graduated from REC Trichy with flying colors, rapidly moved up in your career while in Infosys, AMEX & Amazon. But always level headed & down to earth with that ever charming smile. You the role model to my kids, affectionately addressed  "Ultimate Anna". You accomplished so much in your short-n-sweet wonderful life at lightning pace, seems you decided to do the same in  leaving this earthly world soon too. Who gave you that right to make the final call ? 

When you got engaged to Lakshmi & told her to stay with us in NJ after she came to U.S. for the first time before the wedding, I/Subha teased you telling we will be bride side. Instantaneously you responded that you will always be anna manni side whatever it's called. Looks like you forgot that last Saturday. Otherwise you wouldn't have gone to the eternal side that we can't see you now. 

So kind & always caring for others, go beyond your limits to help, not just your near-n-dear/friends but even strangers, you never ever even thought of hurting anyone, how could you leave us so soon, hurting us forever? 

Yesterday when I saw you, felt like you are just sleeping. Of course with your signature smile. Can't accept that you will be resting forever.
As the saying goes, the legacy of a person is judged by how many think of & appreciate the person after they are gone. If that's applied, you have made a lasting life long impression on everyone that met, knew & lived with you.

Swami is such a wonderful and lively person..He keeps smiling always and also makes those around him to smile always...The message about him from his wife and kids are heart touching and can understand how great he is as a human being. Surely a great loss... But his nature will always keep inspiring all of us.

I remember Anna (older brother) always getting me chocolates in secret when we were living in India. I would wait until he came back from tuition everyday to see him bend down, and hand me a piece of five star with his huge cheesy beautiful smile. This was our little secret. I love and miss you so much Anna! Will never forget your smile and love!

This was the Middle school grad night. After school we went out to eat ice cream at cold stone. 
We spent time chatting and walking around in RTC. We talked about girls future, studies, their social media habits and shared memories. It was such a fun evening. You will always be between us Swami. Your always smiling  face and warm demeanor will never be forgotten. 

This was at Ananya’s 8th birthday. I recall Lakshmi telling me that Swami took care of everything about it, from grand decorations, food, cake and planning games. Swami also loved taking photos of others. This photo has Swami in it because I clicked this one. I will always cherish this photo. We will always miss you Swami 🙏🏽🙏🏽💗💗

Lakshmi, Ananya, and Aarush,

I am deeply saddened by Swami’s passing. He was a close Technology partner at American Express and everyone loved and respected him. He was someone and a leader you wanted to be around and have on your team - kind, loving, sharp, and creative. He always came up with solutions in a collaborative way which is a difficult to achieve. He worked on a platform called “Registered Card” that drove innovation of an offers program that won multiple accolades and credibility.  

I grew up in Edison, New Jersey which is now a predominantly South Asian community. He told me about a time he went to the Indian movie theater when he visited the town; every time I visit where I grew up which is quite often, I think of Swami’s memory!

I am sending all of my sympathies and condolences your way. May Swami Rest In Peace.

You wanted us to be with you permanently but you left us suddenly . Anna, I'm still in shock and denial. You've been an inspiration and such an integral part of our lives. My memories of us laughing together, travelling together and even celebrating your anniversary in Seattle this past May keep flashing back. Its not going to be easy getting through this, especially not for Lakshmi, Ananya and Aarush - my love and lots of support to them always! Anna, you will continue to be remembered and cherished.

Swami I seek your apologies if I had caused any unpleasantness in the last 15 years. How to erase my memories you tell me a way. If God give me loss of memory, I can forget you. Your exit was so sudden and totally unexpected. Why did you do that? I was enjoying your voice everyday morning while you were interacting with officials . Now in your place, dead silence is prevailing. Whom else I can show my love now?  You remain in my heart for ever. You are immortal

Not even in my worst nightmare had I imagined writing a condolence message for you, Swami. Deeply saddened, shocked, and angry that you left Lakshmi, kids, my parents, your sister and all of us so soon. Your home has been my maternal home in this country, where I could stay with my family without any “sangocham”. You always welcomed us with a warm smile and extended at most hospitality during our stays. Our trips to Seattle will never be the same again. Every nook & corner in your home reminds me of your smile, jokes, laughter and your earnest effort to live the best and give the best for your family. 

When I visited San Diego with Varun for a month, without any second thoughts, you drove from Phoenix every weekend to take us around. I don’t think even a brother would have done this for me. Varun & I vividly remember our San Diego trip, thanks for making it so memorable for us. I’m so sorry if I had not appreciated you enough for what you did. 

I will always remember you as a youthful person with an infectious smile who despite the odds reached great heights through sheer hard work and determination. 

You have left a huge vacuum in our lives. No one can fill your big shoes but we will support Lakshmi and kids as best as we can.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I worked occasionally with Swami, and I always found him to be a thoughtful and compassionate person and leader. In case it may offer some comfort to those grieving, the Enchantments is one of the most beautiful places I've ever been. I first hiked there just last Friday and will remember Swami each time I visit in the future.

Unbelievable! We say, god takes his most loved children sooner and he did. This world is at a loss!  I can never forget Swami’s smile. If you meet swami on the floor with his smile and have a quick one minute conversation your stress levels will go down to zero. Intelligent, smart, lovable…i know all of us have to console ourselves within and recall the lovely memories. May god give strength to his family and friends.

I have no words to express my shock and sorrow. 
In my 4 years at Prime, I haven't seen you once without a smile on your face. You were very connected to everyone in your org, irrespective of their role and level. I had returned to work after a very long leave and was feeling overwhelmed during the ramp up, You (my skip managers's manager) set up a meeting yourself and talked to me, put me at ease. It was such a morale booster. 
I see so many of our colleagues pinging and expressing how you helped them. It is really a testament to what a great person and a leader you were. You will be deeply missed by your family, friends and colleagues.

Still remember you came to airport at 2 AM in the morning on a working day to pick me up from airport  when I came to US for the first time though you had to attend early  morning calls.  I Never forget that You and Lakshmi let me stayed with you guys in your apartment till I find accommodation and took great care of me and you did not have to do that. But it was just SWAMI, what else can we expect. More than a lead and Manager you were a great mentor and friend to me and an inspiration to many.  No need to tell what an amazing person you are every one knows.  RIP sir and I pray God gives the strength to Lakshmi and Family in this time.  By the way the Alerts batch you coded over one weekend on my behalf is still running successfully.

Dear Swami,
   When I think of all the times we interacted with you, I cannot recollect One dull moment! You were always smiling, energetic, Full of Life! 

I wondered how you had the time to do so much - Amazon work, family activities, cooking, hiking, gardening - you were enthusiastic about everything! You taught me how to make 7 cup cake patiently. You were such a loving husband and caring father! When Lakshmi casually mentioned ‘ice cream romba nalla irunthathu, innum konjam vaangirukalaam’ at Tilamook, you instantly turned around to get back into the long queue without a second thought to get it for her! 

You took such good care of your family, that I feel that you’ll always care for them from above! No one can ever fill the void you’ve left behind in their lives, But your memories and blessings from above will give them the strength to live the life you envisioned for them! If I’ve ever hurt you knowingly or unknowingly, I seek your pardon! May you be happy and peaceful wherever you’re!
