Verlyn "Lynn" Branin passed into the loving arms of her Heavenly Father on April 7, 2021 at the age of 95. She was born in Marshalltown, Iowa on June 16, 1925 to her parents, Floyd and Beatrice Britt. She was mostly raised in Rupert, Idaho a place she loved and created many memories there. This is where she met her best friend for life, June. We, her children, called her and her husband " Auntie June and Uncle Ted". We loved them so much. Lynn eventually moved to Portland, Oregon and then to the Seattle area.
Lynn loved children and especially babies. She volunteered at her church in the nursery for many years. She had several jobs until she became a homemaker for many years. In her mid forties she began working for physicians and ultimately for Bellevue Cardiology, a job she loved.
Lynn is preceded in death by her parents, brother Don, oldest son Michael, and her best friends Ted and June Smith. She is survived by her children Susan (David), Duff (Shannon), Todd (MaDonna) and her daughter-in-law Sandi, who was married to her oldest son Michael. She adored her grandchildren, Tracy and Cade, Michelle and Bobby, Ryan, Austyn and Hannah, and Sarah and Anna. She had many great grandchildren including a baby boy to be born this summer.
Her favorite saying, when things weren't going so well, was "Tomorrow will be a better day". Indeed it is. She is no longer in pain and is now at peace.
Mathew 11: 28-30
Come to me, all who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.
