

Clark excelled in his studies all throughout his school years. He served as class president and vice president alternate years in High School. An outstanding athlete, Clark excelled in baseball and football at Narbonne High School in the All Marine League achieving “All Conference” in both baseball and football. He went onto achieve All Conference recognition while playing football at Harbor College.
After completing college, Clark became a Sheriff’s Deputy of the Country of Los Angeles, earning high praise from the FBI for his outstanding performance while supporting FBI agents on a case. He was also one of the originating members of ALADS, the first union for Sheriff’s Deputies. Clark’s career in Law enforcement was cut short after he suffered a major accident while on the job, and he retired from the force in 1979.
Following his retirement, Clark worked as a personal bodyguard for several movie stars and celebrities: Olivia Newton John, Bonnie Franklin, and Hugh Hefner to name a few. When Sherman Block ran for Sheriff of Los Angeles he hired Clark to be one of his drivers and bodyguards, during his campaign. Impressed by Clark’s skills and knowledge, Sheriff Block introduced him to the world of politics, recognizing in him a natural talent as a political advocate. Clark was hired by Alma Fitch & Associates, quickly excelling in his new role. Within three years, he became a partner, and the firm was renamed Fitch/Davis Associates. This firm earned recognition as the number one lobbying firm in Los Angeles. Clark eventually became the sole owner, renaming the firm to C.S. Davis Company, where he represented major corporations such as: Howard Hughes Corporation, Walt Disney Concert Hall, HOK Corp., Exxon Mobil, TRW just to name of few of his vast clientele. Clark was appointed to many Boards and Committees by sitting Mayors, Supervisors, and City Council members, including the Central City Association, the Public Health Commission, and the L. A. City Task Force, just to name a few. Clark supported several Non Profits: The Boys and Girls Club, San Pedro, CA, Hollywood/Wilshire YMCA, North Valley YMCA, and Hollenbeck Youth Center in East Los Angeles to name a few. Clark eventually suffered from complications from the accident he endured while on the Sheriff’s Department, and had to retire.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Deborah, son Steven, and granddaughter, Kira. His funeral service will be held at St. John Fisher Church, 5448 Crest Road, Rancho Palos Verdes, Ca 90274 on August 19, 2025 at 11:00am, with a reception to follow.
