Uncle Joe was a special person who spent alot of time sharing his knowledge with many people.I learned alot from him.I thank him for the conversations we shared and for the special memories of our family. My condolences to Joes family and loved ones, Joe is friend that I will miss , he mentored me in so many ways in my life that I will always be internally grateful for him thank you Joe for all you did for me.

Joe was such a great guy. He was all MAN. No BS with him. 
I met Joe at the old Manhattan Men’s Club. I was 
watching him hit the Boxing Speed Bag and was marveling at how easy he made it look. 
He asked me if I wanted to give it a try and gave me some instruction. I was horrible to say the least. 
I would meet him at the Club and he would continue to give me lessons until I actually could  do it with a little consistency. 
We became friends from that day forward. We would exchange stories about how we both grew up.I loved baseball and played in HS and College. 
To my surprise Joe also played and with a little bit of luck I think he could have played professionally. 
He was also very generous man and helped many young boys with tutoring and mentoring. He was that guy who was always ready to lend a helping hand .

Joe Brauer was a good, kind person who extended himself regularly to those in need.
He had a big heart. 

He grew up (with many Italian friends - the reason for his love for Italian food!) in New York City, played in the Minor Leagues, served his Nation in the Korean War, and managed to pull himself up by his boot straps and become a successful businessman. 

He was a learned man … well read … and at nearly 94 as sharp as you … and me … combined.

He always was willing to teach others the lessons he learned in becoming successful in business.  

Joe will be missed by many … from all walks of life.

I will miss him dearly.

Uncle Joe, We are so sad about your passing. You were the patriarch of our family and we looked up to you for your wisdom and support. You have helped more people than you probably know and we will all feel the loss. May you rest in peace. Love, Dori, Joe, Michael and Alyssa

Joe was a MAN. A REAL MAN. He was straight forward and honest. There was no BS with him. I loved listening to his stories about his life and what an incredible life that he lived. He taught me how to hit a boxing speed bag at the old Manhattan Club for Men. We became friends from that day forward. He also played baseball. and as with everything Joe did he excelled at that also. With a few breaks he could have played in the major Leagues. You will be missed my friend by the many people that you touched during your wonderful life. Rest in Peace.
