Richard Eloy Tony Sisneros

Memorial service will be held at Mary Star of the Sea Parish in San Pedro, CA on September 25, 2026 at 9:00am.

Richard was born on January 14, 1947, in Price Utah, the son of Phillip Sisneros and Amelia (Madrigal) Gorlitz.

Richard was a Vietnam Veteran, serving two tours from 1969-1973 where he was awarded the Bronze Star, and Code of Conduct medal as well as as other medals during his service time. He worked at Long Beach Naval Shipyard as a welder for 31 years after his military service in 1973. He later worked for the city of Los Angeles as Director of the LA KIDS program. He was an active member of the VFW for many years and also a member of the Elks Club.

Survivors include his children Cynthia, Rikki, and Jessica; two grandchildren, Jonathan and Dylan; and one great-grandson Benson; brothers Steven (Daniela) Sisneros from Carson, Tony Sisneros from Montana, Jim Sisneros; sisters Stella Schindler from Washington, and Maxine Crownover from San Pedro, and several nieces and nephews.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Phillip and Amelia.
