Chris was someone I looked up to . His family had a condominium on the delta a few doors down from ours . He was 6 years older than me . When he went off to U.C. Davis . Chris and his friends would go out on our houseboat and bring the Ski Nautique . That was around 1990. I first met him in 1982. I'm just finding out about him passing   in 2023. I'm sorry for his family's  loss.  He was always a great person .

Chris was an inspirational person. I worked with him over the past few years and he spoke of you, and his Boys very often. 

I am humbled and in awe to have known him and although I don't know you I feel as if I do given how much he spoke of you and how awesome the services were that you held for him. I now better understand why he was so proud of you, Nicholas and Jackson.

I am so sorry that someone with soooo much to give is not there with you every day to share Life's good times and bad, I am sure he was your best friend and confidant and I hope that all of the Love he had for you and all of the memories that you have provides you comfort in some small yet meaningfulway.  

One week before Chris's passing I had mentioned that it was on my "to-do's" to start meditating but I never seemed to get around to it. He laughed and shared with me that he and you were discussing that maybe mediating would be a good thing to start as well. He also shared the great time he had on his sabbatical and all of you taking Nick to college and how happy he was on your family vacation. 

I want you to know that I pray for you and your beautiful family, and I wish you enlightenment in this untoward event in your Life. I pray that God & Chris keep you tightly in their embrace to  assist you in the healing process.

Dear Lisa, Nicholas and Jackson, Don and I are sending thoughts and prayers of comfort to you.  Chris knew how deeply he was loved.

My husband, Ted knew Chris' father, Eddie and mother, Charlotte before I ever met Chris. I was happy to turn his resume into Genentech when asked because the Burnett's were the kind of people you were proud to call friend and neighbor. Little did I know what a truly amazing discovery Chris would be. Just like his father (with a lot of mom influence); kind, thoughtful, smart, hardworking, full of humor and a zest for life. Truly a man of great character and integrity.

My heart goes out to Lisa, Nicholas and Jackson, please know our prayers are with you.There are no words to say except that you and your family are loved by so many. I hope as days and months pass you remember more and more of the happy times and less of how sad you are.

Eddie and Charlotte, our hearts are broken over your unimaginable loss. We pray and grieve with you. Mark, losing your brother has to be the hardest blow, we are so sorry for your loss...you too are in our thoughts and prayers.

Chris was a very genuine and kind person that treated everyone with respect.  He held himself and his colleagues up to a high standard of integrity which gave you confidence in him and you knew you could do your best work under his leadership.  He always had a smile and a laugh that made working with him fun and he always had time to help you learn something new if you needed help.  He'll be missed.

All of those qualities I saw at work became even more real for me when I attended his 50th birthday party and heard all the great stories and memories about him.

My thoughts and prayers are with his wife, sons, parents and friends.

I have so many great memories of working with Chris for many years and am so grateful to have known him.  He put his all into everything he did, filled every room with happy energy, and had such an infectious zest for life.  He was an authentic, good person who never failed to make me laugh and appreciate him.  

His love for his wife and sons always came through when he would talk about them; my heart aches for them, and they are in my prayers. 

Thank you, Chris, for showing us how to live our best lives - may you rest in peace.

Chris was a kind person and colleague.  What strikes me the most as I reflect on my work with him over the years is how little of my memories revolve around the content of the work.  Rather, I remember Chris's fun spirit and genuine interest in those with whom he worked.  His strength and spirit as a person is what is remarkable, and that is the memory that will provide strength in his absence on Earth.

Chris was an incredible friend, mentor, and boss.  He meant a great deal to the both of us.  He was truly genuine, hardworking, and an all-around upstanding person.  We are forever grateful for his support and the impact he has had on our lives.  We are privileged to have known him all these years, and we will continue to live by his examples.  We will miss him dearly.

What a kind and confident leader he was to all of us.  Most importantly, he led by example and did so with a dry and very warm sense of humor. From the very first  moment you had an interaction with Chris you quickly learned, he was built on a rock solid foundation of character and integrity. 

He showed it every time he spoke and was more interested in what you had to say than what he had to say. 

I respected him immensely and was honored to have his friendship and support when I was in need of it. 

We will all miss him dearly as he was taken too early in his life here on earth.

Chris was an amazing guy. He knew so much about so many things. He was good, he was smart, he helped so many. I had the pleasure of working with him for many years and deeply saddened by his passing, but I'm also so grateful to have had the opportunity to know him. He loved his family, his friends, his colleagues and he gave so much. I'll miss his sense of humor, the funny videos he loved to make. Although he is no longer here in body, he will always be with us in spirit. My condolences to his family.
