

David died unexpectedly at home in Redwood City, CA.David Smith was born at Stanford Hospital on July 18, 1961. He was the third son of Charles and Alice Smith. He was raised in Redwood City and lived in both Missouri and Hawaii before returning to the Bay Area, attending high school in San Mateo. David was a gifted chiropractor, practicing in the Bay Area for over 30 years. He had the remarkable ability to solve the most complex health problems and left his patients laughing with his never ending repertoire of jokes and witty comments. In his younger years, David was a competitive cyclist, riding for local teams and completing the Davis Double Century several times including finishing in the top 15! David was a scratch golfer and participated in a US Open qualifying event. He was also an avid hiker, fly fisherman and pilot. David is survived by his wife (Felicia), mother (Alice), brothers (Michael, wife Karen, and Steven, partner Laura), brother-in-law (Jay, wife Patti, son Jason) and sister-in-law (Rochelle, husband James, son Jonathan, daughter Isabella) as well as several cousins. We are honored to have David in our lives, he will be deeply missed. Friends and family are invited to attend a Memorial Service on Saturday, February 20 at 11:00 at Redwood Chapel in Redwood City, reception to follow at the Chapel. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests any memorial contributions be made in David's memory.
