Gary Allen Crum

Gary passed away peacefully on November 16. He is preceded by parents Charles and Ellen, stepmother Elizabeth Crum, and brother William, and is survived by siblings the former Susan Crum, Janet Watson, Robert Crum, Patti Sanchez, and nieces Kate and Christina Watson.

He graduated with honors from De Anza College and was a skilled clarinetist in the Cupertino High School marching band and “Doc” Patnoe’s De Anza orchestra. Gary touched many lives through his mental health advocacy, dedication to the Christian faith, and work at Recycle Bookstore and Mission Valley House. He was an avid reader, sports fan, and trivia buff.

Services will be held at Redwood Chapel, 847 Woodside Rd., Redwood City, on November 22 with a visitation from 10am – 12pm and funeral at 12pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to charities that Gary supported throughout his life: Billy Graham Evangelistic Association and Thru the Bible Radio.
