I knew and admired Jeff as the Finance guy in the Investment firm in which I worked, though he was much more than our Chief Financial Officer. He upheld the highest standards for the firm and expected the same from others. Jeff was the kind of partner who made you fell comfortable that he was looking out for the shop.

I don't mean to seem as if Jeff was only a strict taskmaster. He could tell a good story. One that you felt was unrelated to the firm... and then bring it back home to a situation he had observed that needed fixing. Jeff worried for the firm... and the firm was better off for his concerns.

Jeff Cunningham was a rare and wonderful guy!

J.C. was a trusted and loyal partner for twelve years. He was greatly respected and liked (although the respected part was always most important to him) by all of our colleagues. He cared greatly about each and every person without regard to their status and always had just the right "touch" in dealing with everyone.
However, it was as a valued friend and buddy for the next eighteen years that I most came to appreciate the personal traits that made J.C. such a great human being. His sense of humor and absolute sense of loyalty will be greatly missed by me. He was a great husband and Dad and my condolences go out to the whole Cunningham family.

I got to know Jeff through an active email correspondence initiated by Richard Servetnick. Jeff always showed himself to be one of the most honest, nicest, intellectually strong, and wonderful people. I won't forget him, he made an impact. Your family can be proud of the man he was.
