John M. Santana Jr.

It is with great sadness that the family of John Santana announces that he passed away peacefully at home on January 31, 2018. John will be forever missed by Doris, his beloved wife of 68 years and his children Jane (Jim), Sally (Nick), Annie (Noel) and James (Laurie). John was predeceased by his son Mark (Sheila). He is also survived by his brother George (Adrienne). John will also be lovingly remembered by his 10 grandchildren; Alex, Taylor, Elizabeth, Catherine, Andrew, Sarah, Rebecca, Brooke, Emma and Paige. He grew up in Palo Alto, graduated from Stanford University with a degree in economics and was President of Peninsula Creamery. He served on the boards of numerous organizations including The Stanford Hospital, The Dairy Institute of California and The Charles Armstrong School. He was a 52 year member of The Palo Alto Club where he enjoyed the companionship of his fellow members and hours of domino games. He was also a member of The Menlo Circus Club and The Menlo Country Club. John loved his wife, family, travel, golf, dominos and Stanford sports. There will be a Memorial service at a later date. Memorial donations in memory of John can be made to The Charles Armstrong School, Mark Coplen Santana Scholastic Endowment fund, 1405 Solana Dr, Belmont , Ca 94002 or a charity of your choice.
