Rose Summers

Rose Summers, at the age of 84, went to be with our Lord while in her sleep at her home in Redwood City, California on April 27th 2017. Born June 3, 1932 in Hilta, Lebanon to parents Rahil & Hanna Basil, Rose is survived by older sister Rebecca Leon and nephews Joe, Jim, John Leon, niece Mary Ann Nowoselski, their families, her stepdaughter Sharane & her husband Loren. Rose will join in eternal life with her deceased and beloved husband, Maclin, younger sister Souad Bassil and brothers Joseph & George and stepdaughter Macelyn.Whether as a nurse healing the sick in Lebanon or as a founding member of Our Lady of Lebanon Church in Millbrae, service was always the fuel to Rose's drive. With fearless conviction and an unparalleled eye for detail, Rose's signature was an element of elegance and a touch of grace. A mentor to some and a glowing light to many. Visitation on Wednesday, May 3rd from 5:30pm rosary at 7:30pm at Our Lady of Lebanon Church in Millbrae with funeral service on Thursday, May 4th at 11:30 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to OLOL towards a Scholarship in Rose's honor.
