July 21, 1961 - March 2, 2017
Scotty Wickstrom, 55 years old, passed away unexpectedly and peacefully on Thursday, March 2, 2017
while on a business trip in Minneapolis, MN. Scotty’s infectious smile along with his generous and
compassionate nature will be dearly missed by all whose lives he touched, even if just for a moment.
Scotty was born in Phoenix, AZ, on July 21, 1961. At the age of six, he made his home in Redwood City,
CA where he later went on to meet and marry the love of his life, Lori Clarke, and have his three beautiful
daughters, Nicole, Samantha and Serena.
From a young age Scotty was driven to succeed. He had his first job at age twelve and built a successful
career, owning and operating multiple medical manufacturing companies, including Wickstrom Molding
and S. Wickstrom Manufacturing. He was highly respected and well-known in the industry.
A loving and devoted father and husband, Scotty was proudest of his three wonderful daughters that he
and Lori brought into the world. Scotty was happiest in nature and loved taking his wife, daughters,
siblings, nieces, and nephews on an annual house boating trip on Lake Shasta. He also loved water
skiing, snow skiing, and especially fishing. He and his family enjoyed vacationing in Napili, Maui with
close family friends.
Scotty was also extremely passionate about giving back to others and his community. He was involved in
the St. Pius School Auctions and Church Festivals and with the St. Pius Men’s Club Christmas Tree Lot
and Golf Tournaments. He also participated in the Youth Ministry mission trips to Mexico building houses.
Scotty also supported the passions of his daughters, frequently donating to Serena’s Indiana University
Dance Marathon, supported Sam’s love for the St. Pius Children’s Theatre by delivering dinner to the
Directors and crew, and loved building new tables and buying supplies for Nicole’s classroom.
He will be remembered for his fun loving spirit, his gregarious personality, his selfless generosity and his
deep love of life. Whether you knew Scotty personally or passed by him on the street, everyone who
experienced Scotty was influenced by his sweet spirit. Those who knew him closely remember what a
“fine” dancer and singer he was, including nailing Michael Jackson’s moonwalk and singing Hey Jude
renditions.
Scotty is survived by his wife of more than 30 years, Lori Clarke Wickstrom, his daughters Nicole,
Samantha, and Serena, his parents Bob and Joyce Wickstrom, his siblings Marybeth Strack, Jenni
Picetti, Kathy Wright, his twin brother Jeff Wickstrom, Bonnie Kucera, Bridget Chamberlain and his
beloved outlaws, nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at St. Pius Church in Redwood City on Saturday, March 11th, 2017 at 1:30
pm with a reception immediately following in Homer Crouse.
