Annie Cristine Schellenberg

Annie (Goetz) Schellenberg, aged 92, went to be with her Lord and Savior on September 18, 2026. She was born in Dinuba, California, to David and Anna Goetz but grew up and spent most of her life in Reedley, California. Annie graduated from Immanuel Academy in Reedley, California, in 1952. She married her high school sweetheart, Harvey Schellenberg, who graduated from Immanuel Academy in 1950.

Annie was a devoted wife and mother and absolutely enjoyed each of her grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She was a dedicated member of the Reedley Mennonite Brethren Church, where she served in the nursery, taking care of infants for nearly 25 years. Along with her husband, Harvey, she served as a high school youth sponsor. Later, she served as a deacon and greeter at the Reedley Mennonite Brethren Church. Annie enjoyed working

part-time in the office for her husband’s car dealership, Schellenberg Buick, Pontiac, Oldsmobile, and GMC.

She was a great cook and baker and always had words of encouragement for those around her.

She had a strong faith in her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and a lifelong commitment to serving her heavenly Father.

Annie was preceded in death by her parents David and Anna Goetz, and brothers David, Henry, Peter, and John Goetz; daughter Linda Peters; and grandson Riley Schellenberg.

She is survived by her husband, Harvey Schellenberg of Reedley; sons Randy (Tamara) Schellenberg and Michael (Loraine) Schellenberg of Dinuba; daughter Sheryl (Gerald) Nachtigall of Clovis, CA; son-in-law Ron (Sue) Peters of Reedley; grandchildren Scott (Robyn) Peters, Laura (Dustin) Pauls, Julie (Jeff) Just, Robyn (Rob) Nachtigall Hill, Kelyn (Allison) Schellenberg of Reedley, Ashley (Jacob) Moreno, Audry (Greg) Jackson, Leanne (Micah) Hiett, Chelsea (Josh) Merritt, Jason (Nikki) Schellenberg, and Carson (Annie) Schellenberg; thirty-one great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

A celebration of life will be held at 10:30 a.m. on October 8, 2026, at Reedley M.B. Church, 1362 L Street, Reedley, CA 93654.
