Concha Valenzuela Gomez

Concha is survived by her husband, Francisco Gomez, 3 step-children, 3 sisters and many nephews and nieces. She was a practicing Christian and faithful wife of 25 years.

Concha was born on December 8, 1952 in Weslaco, Texas to Jose and Manuela Valenzuela. She married Francisco (Kiko) Gomez on July 3, 1999.

She was a member of Reedley Mennonite Brethren Church. She continued working until her passing. She worked for EOC Head Start and then Comprehensive Youth Services of Fresno.

She was able to to help less privileged families through her work which she really enjoyed. She graduated from Fresno State University with a degree in criminology.

Although her parents raised 12 children, due to harsh circumstances in those days, only 6 daughters survived. Concha was the youngest. She enjoyed family functions, traveling and movies.

The viewing is scheduled for July 10, 2024 at Dopkins Reedley Funeral Chapel from 3pm to 7pm. Her service will be held July 11, 2024 at Reedley Mennonite Brethren Church at 10am. A graveside service will be held at Reedley Cemetery following the church service.
