Joe R. Martinez Jr. passed on September 15, 2026, at the age of 48; he was born on March 27, 1978, in Reedley, California to Joe and MaryLou Martinez. He was raised in Orange Cove, California with his two sisters Irene Martinez and Monica Arreola. Joe was a beloved son, brother, and uncle. He brought great joy and happiness to the family.

Joe was a devoted husband and father, he lived in Reedley, California with his wife Amanda Martinez and their four children Elliana, Joseph, Sophia, and Olivia Martinez. Joe was a family man, proud of his children and family, and prioritized his time with them. He worked hard to provide for them and raise them with good values and morals. Joe enjoyed spending time and creating memories with his family. He could be seen coaching, reassuring, and having a positive influence on his children and others.

Joe also had a passion for serving others. He dedicated his career serving students and families as a school psychologist, director, and administrator. He was a leader and mentor to many throughout his career. His leadership was a priority for him and was compelled to support and empower his team and colleagues in any way he could. He cared greatly about doing the right thing for students and families.

Joe was a great friend, he was dependable, supportive, and honest. He was loyal, compassionate, and a man of faith. Joe had a beautiful smile and a way with words that would captivate you. He always believed in others and encouraged them to be their best. He will be deeply missed and cherished in our hearts forever.

Visitation will be held at Saint Anthony of Padua South, 1060 F Street, Reedley, California, on September 29, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm, with the Rosary at Saint Anthony of Padua South, 1060 F Street, Reedley, California, on September 29, 2026, at 7:00 pm.

A Funeral Mass will be held at Saint Anthony of Padua North, 1018 North Frankwood Avenue, Reedley, California, on September 30, 2026, at 10:00 am, followed by a Graveside Service at Reedley Cemetery District, 2185 South Reed Avenue, Reedley, California, on September 30, 2026, at 11:00 am.

A Reception will be held at Orange Cove Community Center, 1705 South Anchor Avenue, Orange Cove, California, on September 30, 2026, at 12:00 pm.

Joe R. Martinez Jr. will be laid to rest at Reedley Cemetery District, 2185 S. Reed Avenue, Reedley.
