Linda Ponce, born on February 15, 1954, in Fresno, California, passed away on January 4, 2025, in Clovis, California, surrounded by her family. She was a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, known for her big heart and artistic spirit.
Linda was a loving wife to her husband Joseph Ponce of 44 years. She was a devoted mother to her daughters: Jessica Amiott and Josephine Barry. As well as their spouses Matthew Amiott and Richard Barry. Her daughters cherished her unwavering support and loving care. Linda took immense pride in all of her grandchildren, Hallie, Alexis, Oliver, and soon to be born Nevaeh, who brought her endless joy.
A dedicated professional, Linda began as a teacher's aid with Sanger Unified at a children's center, then became a teacher with Fresno Unified. She retired as a Director for Community Action Partnership of Madera County incorporated, where she made a significant impact on the lives of countless children and families. Her commitment to helping others reflected her generous spirit and love for her community.
In her leisure time, Linda found joy in Disney movies and anything on the Hallmark Channel, often sharing these films with her family. Her artistic abilities shone through her love for crafts, which she enjoyed creating for those around her.
Linda is survived by her brothers Pilar, Jesse, Joe, and David, her sisters Janie and Carol they will remember her fondly. She is predeceased by her parents, Jesus and Maria Sanchez, and her sisters Paula and Mary.
Linda was a devout Baptist. She found strength in her faith, which guided her through life.
Though she will be deeply missed, Linda's legacy of love, creativity, and compassion will continue to inspire those who knew her.
