Maria Elena Morse

Mom (known as Mary) was born on May 30, 1946, in San Antonio Texas to Jose and Juanita Corpus. One of five sisters and three brothers.

Mom encountered the LOVE of her life in the fall of 1967, while walking close to the beach in Los Angeles. Dad was actively serving our country and stationed at Camp Pendelton. Mom worked as a hairstylist in the Job Corps in Los Angeles. She couldn't resist the bluest of eyes.

They married on 11/16/1968. They relocated to Reedley and raised three amazing children. She had a smile and a hug for everyone. She was very strong in her faith and always tried to show what God’s LOVE was through it all. We are all grateful for all the love that was shared, the lessons learned, and the memories we will carry. She fiercely defended God’s Word, a Prayer Warrior, a devout servant of Yahweh. Just as she fiercely protected and cared for her family during her lifetime.

She was called to ministry in her early twenties. She was ordained as a Minister/Pastor on January 28, 1991. She became a Latina Business Owner and opened The Store House and served the surrounding communities alongside her beloved sisters. She trusted in God throughout her life and found strength in His promises. Through this, they touched countless lives. It was not just a business, to her it was an opportunity to preach, share the Word of God, provide testimony, and be his hands and feet in blessing of the less fortunate.

Matthew 25:23 “Well done, good and faithful servant.”

Even through this difficult time, and life’s changes, and our hearts hurt, God’s goodness remains the same. He gives us strength for each day, peace when we need it most, and hope that goes beyond any current circumstance. In every season, we can thank Him because His LOVE never leaves us.

1 Thessalonians 5:18

Maria is survived by her devoted husband (Honey) Michael W Morse. Always being by her side with unconditional love and support.

Her greatest blessings are her surviving Children: son: Michael Jr; daughters: Christina Lopez and Stephanie Prieto. Whom she loved dearly.

She was an incredibly proud grandmother to her surviving Grandchildren: Michael, Brittney, Alyssa, Jocelyn, Aaron, Caleb

Surviving Great-grandchildren: Luca, Layla, Alessia, Brooklyn, Ezra, Sofia, Morgan, Kylo, Isla

Surviving Siblings; sisters: Ana, Vera, Rosie, Lupe; brothers: Albert and Joe

She is preceded in death by her parents Jose and Juanita, sister Margaret, brother Oscar, nephew Oscar Jr, and very special Cassandra (Sissy). We find peace and comfort knowing that she is now at peace, made new in His loving presence, and joyfully reunited with those who went before her. She is home.
