Paula A. Luna passed away peacefully at the age of 94 on August 30, 2025, in Fresno, California. Born on March 2, 1931 in Fresno, she met and married her husband, Joseph and lived in Reedley for the majority of her life and raised 5 children. Paula dedicated many years of her life working as a fruit packer at LR Hamilton and at various independent packing companies, a testament to her hardworking and honest nature.
Paula was a women of strong faith in God, characterized by her kindness and loving demeanor. She approached life with gentleness and kindness that touched everyone she met.
She learned how to make the most delicious jars of fruit jam, and also enjoyed crocheting, quilting, and sewing. The many beautiful quilts she made was another avenue of which she unselfishly expressed the love she had for her family.
She cherished spending time with her many grandchildren and great grandchildren, who brought immense joy to her life. She will truly be deeply missed by all.
She leaves behind a loving family and is survived by her daughter Lucinda Muro and her husband Ernest; son Joseph Luna Jr and his partner Diana Lucio; daughter Diane Mena; and son Adrian Luna and his wife Maria.
Paula was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Luna, Sr., and her son Larry Luna, Sr.
Our mother’s life was a testament to the enduring power of God’s love and family, and her legacy will live on through the many lives she touched.
A service to celebrate Paula’s life will be held at Dopkins Reedley Funeral Chapel on Tuesday, September 16, 2025 at 10:00 am with a committal service to follow at Reedley Cemetery.
