Rafael Diaz was born on June 11th, 1929, in Aguascalientes Mexico to Encarnacion and Antonia Diaz. He passed away peacefully on June 1st, 2026 in his home. Rafael left Mexico to come to the United States in the 1950's for a better life. He married the love of his life Amada Alanis-Diaz shortly after. Rafael was a loving husband, devoted father, caring grandfather and great grandfather, and a cherished friend to many.
Rafael was a jack of all trades and held many jobs during his life. He was a skilled baker, potter, gardener, and field worker. No matter the job, he was such a hard worker, determined to provide for his family. He was known for his kindness, generosity, gentle spirit, taking pride in having the best and greenest lawn in town, and unwavering love for his family. He is preceded in death by his wife Amada, his son Ralph Jr., his grandson Robert Diaz, granddaughter Sonia Quintero, grandson Abel Hernandez Jr., grandson Elias Hernandez, and great-grandson Elijah Hernandez.
He is survived by his children Mary Quintero, Abel Hernandez, Elva Lopez, Sonia Mora, and Neida Diaz, his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren who will forever cherish the moments they shred with him. He will be deeply missed, but his warmth and the beautiful memories he left behind will live on in the hearts of everyone who knew him.
