Susan McFarlin

Susan was a 1963 graduate of Reedley High School. She spent the first twenty years of her post high school life working for Pacific Bell. Toward the end of her time there, she decided to continue her education, so enrolled at Fresno State University, while continuing to work full time. She received her bachelor’s degree in 1988 and earned her Teaching Credential the same year. Susan was employed as a teacher for 17 years and concluded her tenure at Storey Elementary School in Fresno. She loved incorporating arts and crafts into her teaching and taught first through third grade students during her career.

Susan loved school, both taking classes and teaching. Her love of learning continued on, displayed by her participation in Bible Study Fellowship at church. She also loved music and enjoyed being a member of both the vocal and handbell choirs at church.

Fond family memories include playing card games like " May I?" and she and Clifford always bringing the best ice cream to family events. She was always quick with a smile and good humor. Her favorite season was Autumn.

Susan was predeceased by her parents Edward Kuffel and Helen (Eaton) Kuffel.

She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Clifford McFarlin of Orosi, CA, and their sons Christopher (Leah) McFarlin of Morriston, FL, Cliff (Holly) McFarlin of Easton, CA and Mathew (Mindy McIntyre) McFarlin of Visalia CA, as well as seven grandchildren and one great-granchild.

A Memorial Service will be held at Dinuba Presbyterian Church, 1250 East Nebraska Avenue, Dinuba, California, on September 19, 2026, at 1:00 pm. Susan’s final resting place will be Smith Mountain Cemetery, 42088 Road 100, Dinuba.
