Yuriko was born September 7, 1925 in Tacoma Washington to Gisaku and Kimiyo Yasuda, one of nine siblings. She graduated high school in Tule Lake Relocation Center during WWII. This was also where she met her future husband, Ben Ito. They married and eventually moved to Reedley where they farmed for over fifty years.
A wife, widow, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, she is survived by two daughters, JoAnn (William) Watamura, and Linda (Donald) Yamakawa. Five grandchildren, Jennifer (Rob), Ryan, Sarah, Laurie and Kristi, and one great granddaughter, Elyse.
She was a member of the Methodist Fellowship Church and while actively farming, the Fresno Co. Farm Bureau and Farm Bureau Women. In her later years after the passing of her husband she found volunteering at the Reedley Senior Center very fulfilling.
She passed on at home a few days after celebrating her one hundredth birthday.
