Agnes was predeceased by her husband Herbert in 1995; and son Paul in 2009. Agnes, daughter of Rosalie and Anton Dombowsky, was born in Russia, and came to Canada with her family in 1925 when she was seven, growing up near Claybank, SK. She spent ten years teaching in various towns in SK before marrying Herb Beingessner in 1947 and raising a family on their farm at Truax, SK. In 1972 they moved to Regina, where Agnes completed a B.Ed. in Special Education, and taught a few more years before retiring, to concentrate on her family, her flowers, and her hobbies. Family was the most important thing in Agnes’ life, and she hosted her family for special occasions many times a year, cooking fantastic meals, and cherishing her grandchildren and then great-grandchildren. She was a founding member of the South Saskatchewan Lily Society, and was made a life member. Her yard in Regina had over 600 lilies as well as many other beautiful flowers. In 2006 Agnes wrote a book Disability Issues and My Daughter’s Challenging Encounters, about Virginia’s journey through the education system and then her struggles to find meaningful employment. Their Catholic faith was very important to Agnes and Herb, and their children were raised to be strong Catholics. When Agnes moved to a retirement home in 2003, she taught herself to play bridge and was a very competitive player. Her last 7 years were spent in Pioneer Village and then Santa Maria Senior Citizens Home, confined to a wheelchair and enduring a lot of pain, but never complaining. The Rite of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, May 7, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Resurrection Roman Catholic Parish, 3155 Windsor Park Rd., Regina, SK with Archbishop James Weisgerber presiding. Lunch will be served. Interment to follow at the Truax, SK
