Allan’s hometown was Carberry, MB. In his twenties he met his future wife Sheila (Hagan) in Brandon. They married in 1956 and moved to Regina in 1959 when Allan joined R & S Machinery. In 1970 Allan and Jerry Heyman partnered to form H & J Automotive until they retired and the firm closed in 1989. In his early years Allan loved to hunt and fish until failing health forced him to give them up. Until his death, Allan loved big new cars and his cigars.
Allan was generous, kind and possessed a very sharp sense of humor. He will be missed by his many friends; his sister in law Patricia Hagan and her sons Kevin and Patrick Bradley; his niece Heather Evans and her husband Danny and their family, as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Sheila, his parents Bullard and Liz Johnston; sister Lorna Fraser (George) and brother Tom Johnston (Elsie). Should friends wish to remember Allan, donations may be made in his memory to the Regina Humane Society, P.O Box 3143 STN Main, Regina, SK S4P 9Z9. Flowers are gratefully declined.
Friends are invited to a Graveside Memorial Service at Carberry Cemetery, Carberry, MB on Tuesday September 26, 2017at 2:00 p.m.
Thank you to the Home Care team, the staff and his friends at Marion Chateau, where he resided for the last 2 years.
