It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Anita (Lang) Siwicki; a loving wife, mother, sister and friend. She passed the morning of Sept 2 with family at her side, after losing a battle with cancer.
Anita was raised in Raymore Saskatchewan by her parents William (Bill) and Wilhelmina (Minnie) Lang. She also had older brother Ronald and younger brother Norman by her side growing up in her younger years. Unfortunately Dennis, Norman’s twin brother passed away shortly after birth. Although he left early he was never forgotten and remained part of the family.
Anita, as she grew up, left home for her schooling in Spring Valley and then eventually graduated at Sacred Heart Academy. After finishing her education she moved to Regina to start her career at Richardson Securities. It was during this time she met her future husband Vincent. After a courting period of about 18 months, they were married. The two lived in an apartment for a short period before deciding to purchase their first home in Regina. It was shortly thereafter Anita became pregnant with their son Jeffrey. She, with the help of her husband, raised their son Jeff in that home until he left to further his education in Calgary.
With the house a little emptier, Anita and Vince found themselves gravitating towards a campsite they had at Buena Vista. She enjoyed the summers out there with good friends and neighbors as Vince was still busy working seven days a week. They soon found it a nuisance to be in Regina maintaining the yard in the summer and decided to move permanently to the lake. This is where she was able to enjoy fresh air and the scenic yard she and Vince had created. She remained in this home until the time of her passing. It was where she felt safest and most comfortable with the care of husband Vince through the final months.
She will be fondly remembered by her family and friends, cherished always and forever.
Anita wished to thank Dr. Pervaiz as she had left his care for a period of time. In her time of need he quickly requested the proper tests required to diagnose and confirm her cancer. Also a thank you to all care workers and support staff she met though her final months.
