March 3, 1929- August 20, 2013
Carl passed away peacefully at the Pasqua Hospital. The family would like to thank the professional and caring staff for making his last days comfortable. Carl leaves behind his wife of 60 years Ivy (Wallmann) and three children Linda (Clarence), Lea (Gerry) and Larry (Jane) and their families. Also his surviving brother Raymond (Gail) and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Carl was the 4th of 9 children born to Harry and Kristjana Anderson. He was the first baby born in Cranberry Portage, Manitoba after the town was incorporated. He spent many years in the north country commercial fishing, trapping, hunting and guiding and it is there he met and married Ivy Wallmann. They began to raise their family and later moved to Calgary Alberta, where they managed a motel. They were then transferred to Regina, where Carl last worked with Sears before retiring. His greatest joys were spending times with his family and being in the outdoors. His grandchildren and great grandchildren were a great source of pride that he often spoke of.
As per his request, there will be no funeral services. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to either the heart and stroke foundation or the Alzheimer society.
