Christina (also known as Kutchy Babe) passed away on Thursday, September 5, 2019 in Regina, SK at the age of 78 years. She was predeceased by her parents Charles and Isabel Papequash; sisters Clara, Gladys, Corrline and Evelyn; brothers Alvin, Arnold, Stanley, Benjamin and Winston; grandsons Brendon Kaiswatum and Kalum Papequash; granddaughter Josie Papequash; great grandsons Fabian Anaskan and Nevada Ironchild Jr; the father of her children Peter Brass; and sons-in-law Kenneth Kaiswatum and Garner Kaisowatum. She is survived and remembered by her sister Pearl; children Delvina, Delvine (Vern), Armand, Charlene, Carl (Nicole), Brian, Angeline (Jason), Peter (Christine), Charlie (Rose), Rene (Greg), and Aaron (Starly); as well as numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandsons. Christina was a mother of 8 children and a mother to the children she adopted, a grandmother to 44 grandchildren and great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren. She had a great personality and made friends wherever she would go. She loved to sing and play the guitar, cook and tell stories. Christina had a remarkable sense of humor, she could make anyone laugh, and she will always be remembered for her heart of gold. The Wake will be held on Sunday, September 8, 2019 at 4:00 p.m. at The Key First Nation, Saulteauplex. The Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, September 10, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at the same location.
