Clara was predeceased by her husband, Bernard; sons Gordon Breker and Marvin Breker; and daughter Bernadette Ziegler. Clara is also the last surviving member of her family, which included her parents Joseph and Mary Nagel and seven brothers and three sisters.
Clara leaves behind to cherish her memory her son Leon (Donna) Breker of Regina; son-in-law Ronald Ziegler; daughter-in-law Diana Breker; sisters-in-law Darlene Nagel and Doris Breker; grandchildren Glenn Breker, Joanne Leitner, Jason Breker, Tara Edmands, Angela Welliver, Keri Ziegler, Christa Hembroff, Janine Weisgarber; as well as eighteen great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Clara was born in Regina on January 8, 1918 and was raised on the farm near Claybank, Sask. She married Bernard Breker of Englefeld, Sask on November 13, 1939 where they continued to farm until 1960. They moved to Regina and bought a farm north of Regina where they farmed until they moved into the city. Clara worked hard on the farm and later in the home, where she baked and cooked many meals for her family and also for the boarders they took in over the years. She wasn’t afraid of hard work and was known to take on any task no matter how big or small.
The Church was important to Clara as she was a member of Catholic Women’s League for over 60 years. She took great pride in that accomplishment and enjoyed being part of the community of ladies.
