Doug Reddaway

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of “Doug” James Douglas Reddaway, what was born on September 1, 1956, in Gainsborough, SK and passed away peacefully on September 2, 2025, at the age of 69 in the Palliative Care unit at Pasqua Hospital with family by his side. Doug attended school in Rossburn, MB. After graduation, he settled eventually in Southey, SK, where he built a life rooted in community, family, and friendship.

He is survived by his wife Karen, his son DJ, daughter-in-law Halie and treasured grandchildren Haiden, Payton and Christopher, who brought immense joy and pride to his life. He is also survived by his brother Roy (Cheryl) along with many loving nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by parents Isabella and Edger, his oldest son Christopher, his brothers David and Glen and niece Jennifer.

Doug will be remembered for his kindness, humor, strong work ethic and sense of community. He touched the lives of everyone who knew him, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories.

A Graveside service will be held on Monday September 8, 2025, at Emmanuel Lutheran Cemetery in Southey, SK. Family and friends are welcome to attend and share their memories. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Palliative Care through “The Pay it Forward” in the Pasqua Hospital or any charity of your choice in honor of Doug’s Memory.
