Elaine B. Benko

May 19, 1952 – May 11, 2025

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts, that we announce the sudden passing of our mother, grandmother and friend. Born in Regina, Elaine spent her younger years in the Punnichy area, attending school and working on the family farm. She met her soulmate, Andy Benko, and they married soon after on November 7, 1970. Elaine and Andy settled just north of Cupar and lived their lives in the home they built on the land they loved.

Elaine is predeceased by her loving husband, Andy, parents George and Vera Orban, siblings Bernard and Dorothy, in-laws, Andrew and Helene Benko and brothers in law, Harold Kurtz and Ralph Kirchhofer.

Elaine is survived by her sons, Chad (Catherine) and Brad, grandson Cade (Orianna), step-grandchildren, Elyse (Justin), Keely (Cass), Bennett (Eryn) step-great grandchildren, Elaina and Gavin, numerous relatives, nieces, nephews and so many friends.

Elaine was greatly loved and will be greatly missed.

Celebration of life for Elaine will take place Friday, May 16, 2025 at 11:00 am at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Cupar, with lunch to follow.
