Elmer Thomas Macknak

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the sudden but peaceful passing of Elmer Macknak on Monday, August 8, 2016 at the age of 79. Elmer was predeceased by his parents, Lawrence and Tessie Macknak; brother Roland Macknak; sister Marianne Kwasnitza; brother Wilfred in infancy and sister-in-law Gladys Macknak. Elmer is survived by his loving partner of 30 years, Nancy Riess and her family; his daughters Cheryl (Lloyd) Isted and their children Ashley (Jeffrey), Tyson and Jessica; Patricia Macknak; Lynda (Jaison) Empson and their children Liam and Avery; Alison (Sarah) Macknak and their mother Mary Williams; brother Lloyd Macknak; brother-in-law Henry Kwasnitza; great-grandchildren Kaidan and Lotus Isted as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Rosary Cathedral, 3125 13th Avenue, Regina on Saturday, August 13, 2016 at 10:15 a.m. with Rev. Mau Paul Nguyen presiding. A reception will be held at Lee Funeral Home, 3101 Dewdney Avenue, Regina following Mass. In lieu of flowers, donations in Elmer’s memory may be made to a charity of your choice.
