In loving memory of Gail Marie Abdai (February 28, 1966 – August 5 2023), a cherished wife, devoted mother, adoring grandmother, a genuine friend. Gail’s journey on this earth was marked by an unwavering love for life and an uncontainable energy that radiated to tell those fortunate enough to have known her.
Born on a late February day in 1966, Gail’s spirit was ignited by her zest for adventure and her boundless enthusiasm for each new day. She was the second youngest of her siblings. Gail is survived by her dad Albert Abdai, her step dad Paul King, brothers Wesley(Laurie) Abdai, Rick(Brenda) Abdai, Lorne Quezance. Her sisters Evelyn Zeeback and Majorie Quezance. Gail is predeceased by her mom Linda King, and her sister Debra Ward.
In 2011 she embarked on a 12 year marriage with Blayne Ulrich, a partnership that excellently amplified the beauty of companionship, shared experiences, and adventures fuelled through an insatiable playful curiosity.
Gail's heart overflowed with love for her three children Mitchell Duckarmie (Krystal Duckarmie), Jesse Duckarmie (Amber Neumier), Ocean Jade Simpson (Garett Simpson), along with her two foster children Chase and Serenity. They were the anchors of her existence and a source of immeasurable pride. Her joy multiplied sevenfold with the arrival of her beloved grandchildren: Achilles, Shelby, Marty, Drake, Eleanor, Selena, and Hailey. Their laughter and innocent presence brought her immense happiness, and she cherished every moment spent with them, weaving memories that will forever remain etched in their hearts.
Among her many passions, Gail found solace enjoying karaoke, letting her voice soar to the tunes that resonated with her soul. The canvas was her sanctuary, where she expressed her creativity through vibrant strokes of paint, and the strings of her guitar often accompanied her melodic musings.
Her connection with animals was profound and she shared her life with many furry companions, fostering a bond that transcended words. A social butterfly, Gail's charismatic presence illuminated any gathering she attended. Her laughter was infectious, her silliness endearing, and her vitality infectious, she was always on the go, ready to embrace the next adventure with an open heart.
As we bid farewell to Gail, her spirit lives on through the memories she created, the love she shared, and the joy she spread. She leaves behind a legacy of vivacity, a reminder to cherish each moment and hold dear those who touch our lives. Rest in peace, dear Gail, knowing that the love you shared will forever ripple through the lives you touched.
