George L. Popescu

George L Popescu passed away peacefully on Monday, August 17, 2015 in Regina. He was predeceased by his parents Phillip & Ruby Popescu; his brother Bill (Donna); sister Millie (John); his son Lionel and grandson Ryan. George loved his family and was very proud of them and their accomplishments. George is survived by his loving wife of 64 years Mae (Zaremba); his daughter Sharon (Lenny) Peterson; son Daniel (Karen) and daughter-in-law Jan; his grandchildren Kristen (Jeff), Deanna (Jason), Chantelle (Steve), Amanda (Ian), Jared, Joel, Janelle (Logan), Joanna (Braden); 10 great-grandchildren Ryley Huber, Grayson Huber, Tyren Huber, Kennedy Spock, Alec Spock, Taylor Janzen, Jake Janzen, Ethan Janzen, Mason McCallum and Meelah Jacobs; his brother Bob (Dorothy) and numerous nieces and nephews. George was born, raised and farmed most of his life in the Kayville area. George was a farmer thru and thru, he loved the farm and was a very hard working man. He and his son Daniel farmed together for over 30 years. Even after George and Mae moved to Regina in 1993, he continued to farm until his health began to fail 9 years ago.
