It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Gerald “Gerry” Zatylny, late of Regina, SK, on Monday, May 20. 2019 at the age of 64 years. Gerry was predeceased by his parents Frank and Olga Zatylny. He is survived by his daughter Nicole Kutsak; sister Patricia Johnson (Mickey); sister Denise Zimmerman; brother Howard Zatylny (Paula); numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and too many friends to count. Gerry worked many jobs in his life starting with hardwood flooring with his father Frank. He moved to work for Cable Regina, numerous trucking companies, and a dispatching job working alongside his brother Howie. Gerry was an avid sports fan. He loved to play baseball, hockey, and golf. His favourite hockey team were the Boston Bruins. Gerry was one of a kind. He would help anyone with anything no matter what the reason. Gerry always took the time to listen, and tried to help where he could and never asked for anything in return. He was an amazing man with a huge heart, but first and foremost he was a father. Gerry was so proud of his daughter Nikki, and the bond that they shared was truly one of a kind. We all will miss his contagious smile. A Celebration of Gerry’s life will take place at Victoria Avenue Funeral Home, 2080 Victoria Avenue East, in Regina, SK on Saturday May 25, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. A reception is to follow at the Hungarian Club, 1925 McAra Street in Regina. In lieu of flowers, family and friends so wishing may make a donation to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
