It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our dad Hugh Brown on October 8, 2016. Pre-deceased by his parents Olga and Leslie Brown, brother Peter Brown and wife of 39 years Hilary Brown. He was born on Jan 5, 1943 in Wales, UK. Dad was a member of the Metropolitan Police Service in London, England for many years where he ultimately met our mom. Dad and mom moved to Canada in July 1976 to start a new life with their children Paul and Simon. Dad began working in the security industry upon arrival to Regina and for over 40 years has been an integral part of the local security business industry. He is well known and respected in the security industry circles. Dad semi-retired a few years back and took on his passion of building a sunken ship registry. To this day, it is the largest sunken ship registry in the world with many universities, colleges and academics coming to him for his knowledge and experience. Dad will be forever cherished by his son Paul (Amy), grandchildren Shalysa, Payton, Austin and Jayden. Son Simon (Jackie), grand-daughter Chelsea. Brother in-law Dave Bagwell (Sharon), Jen Brown and family in the UK. Dad was an avid dog lover and loved his dogs and will always cherish Kimbo, Max, Caesar and Baylee. We would also like to send out a special thanks to some of his closest friends over the past few years who have been by his side when he needed it the most: Cory, Dawn, Kelly, Mike and Doug. We are forever grateful for your friendship and kindness to our dad. A celebration come and go for dad will be held on October 14, 2016 at Creekside Pub, 3215 Eastgate Drive from 1pm-4pm. We are comforted in knowing that after 11 years apart dad is now reunited with his one true love and is surrounded by many family and friends who have passed on before him.
Arrangements under the direction of Victoria Avenue Funeral Home and Cremation, Regina, SK.
