Our Ina-Unci Inez Tawiyaka-Keshane made her journey home on Sunday September 8, 2019. Inez will be forever loved by her husband Darwin Keshane. Inez was predeceased by her grandparents John and Mary Rose Goodwill (nee Whiteman), Agnes and Ed Tawiyaka; parents Marjorie (nee Goodwill) and John Tawiyaka; sons Mario Kaiswatum and Kirk Tawiyaka; daughter Tammy Tawiyaka; grandsons Kyland and Kieran; sisters Deborah, Margaret and Rose Mary Tawiyaka; brothers Sidney and John Jr. Tawiyaka; and we honourably mention Ambrose Kaiswatum. She is survived by her children Cheryl (Randy), Buck (Veronica), Joy (Mar), Bubba (Shay), Norm, Coleman (Tristine), Angela, Shane (Janelle), Ashley (Daniel) and Jonas (Desiree); mother-in-law Cora; special friend Anne Kaiswatum; sisters Lisa, Tina, Eileen, Theresa Fiddler, Donna, Shirley and Marilyn Kaiswatum; brothers Conrad (Roberta), Ralph, Bryce and Eddy (Landa). She is also lovingly remembered by special friends and family Beverly (Verg), Lydia, Rina, Annette (Rodger), Deanna B., Debbie Halbewachs, Muriel W., Vanessa W., Erna and Nellie G. (Byron); special grandchildren Ayden and Zane; grandchildren Austin, Kyla, Randal, Connor, Dale Jr., Mario, Neveah, Pavel, Ryker, Zoey, Avery, Cassius, Cassia, Kirk Jr., Myleigha, Kianna, Cheyanna, Taron, Tyrone, Arissa and Brianna; great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, foster children and more family members she took in as her own children; and other numerous friends and family. Inez’s greatest accomplishment was becoming a teacher, which she enjoyed and was passionate about. She was a proud mother and grandmother. She enjoyed watching her grandchildren and children play sports, and she played sports as well. Inez also had a special horse, Davey, with whom she had a close bond. After retiring from teaching she enjoyed beading, watching movies and TV soaps, snacking, going to church services, and visiting with friends and family. She will be greatly missed and forever in our hearts. A wake will be held at Standing Buffalo Tatanka Najin Gymnasium on Wednesday, September 11, 2019 at 4:00 p.m. Funeral service will take place at Standing Buffalo Tatanka Najin Gymnasium on Thursday, September 12, 2019 at 11:00 a.m.
