It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of “Jima” on Wednesday, May 26, 2021. He was our beloved son, brother, nephew, uncle and grandfather and friend.
He was predeceased by: Paternal Grandparents; John Baptiste (JB) and Nynpha Kaiswatum (nee Dieter), Maternal Grandparents; Felix Sugar and Ms. Mulligan; His father, Ambrose Kaiswatum, daughter Ashley Moise, brothers Garner and Allan Kaiswatum, sisters; Helen and Margaret Kaiswatum; niece Kaitlyn Kaiswatum and nephews; Mario Kaiswatum and Cory Strongeagle.
Family and children left to mourn are: His mom, Maryanne Kaiswatum, Special Uncle; Oliver Sugar (Moose); Sons; Justin Kaiswatum (Marlis) and Dylan Dubois (Ashley); Sisters; Marilyn (Fenton P.), Donna (Brian), Shirley and Amy Kaiswatum. Brothers: Jason (Charity), Randy (Raelee), Darryl and Charles Kaiswatum. “Jima” had a special relationship with all his nieces, nephews, grandchildren and relatives too numerous to mention; as well as his step-daughters Teri and Lacey Moise. He had made lasting friendships far and wide.
“Jima” loved sharing the gift of laughter, smiles, teasing and talking crazy in a humorous way to all his family and friends. During his life he loved his muscle cars, playing sports, attending cultural events such as powwows and roundance’s. He had a very out-going personality, loved visiting, sharing stories and he touched the lives of those who knew him with his caring ways. His favourite NHL Hockey Team was the Chicago Blackhawks.
A Traditional Wake and Funeral Service will be held on Monday, May 31, 2021 (4 pm) and Tuesday, June 1, 2021 at 11:00 am - Piapot First Nation Band Hall with Officiating Elder Murray (Jumbo) Ironchild.
COVID 19 Rules and Regulations will be strictly followed during the services and we ask those attending to follow all protocols. The services will be LIVE-STREAMED courtesy of Victoria Avenue East Funeral Home.
