Janice M Zatylny

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Janice Marie Zatylny (nee Wright), late of Regina, SK, on Thursday, March 5, 2026, at the age of 72 years. Janice was predeceased by her parents William and Gloria Wright and her sister Claudette Baynes. She is survived by her daughter Nicole Kumar (Ayush); sister Monica Wright; sister Teresa Bell (Jim); brother Gordon Gardiner-Wright (Dru); sister Corliss Wright; sister Lana Virgin (Allan); brother-in-law Bill Baynes (Dot); niece Sarah Ashmore (Byron); nephew Matthew Wright (Brooke); niece Teal Fiddler (Joel) and her granddaughter Navy.

Janice grew up in Kelliher, SK. She fondly talked about the wonderful memories she had with her siblings and friends and how small-town life shaped her into who she was. After graduating high school, Janice went on to move to Regina, SK to pursue a career in hairdressing and worked in this field for 30 years before retiring.

Family was so important to Janice. She came from a large loving family and really looked forward to all family gatherings. Whether it was holiday dinners, Grey Cup parties or birthdays celebrated at Dairy Queen, Janice always enjoyed every visit she had with loved ones.

Janice had an unbreakable bond with her daughter Nicole. They would talk daily, go on special outings and trips, made many wonderful memories and had so many laughs. Janice was so proud of Nicole, but nothing made her prouder than seeing her become a mother. Janice loved every moment she spent with her “dolly” Navy and looked forward to seeing her every chance she could.

Janice was humble, loving and kind. No matter what she was going through she always had a smile on her face and welcomed everyone with kindness. She truly left you feeling happy and so loved.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date with particulars published in advance. In lieu of flowers, family and friends so wishing may donate to Diabetes Canada.
