John passed away peacefully on Friday, March 17, 2017 at the age of 98. On Thursday, March 30, 2017 at a lovely family gathering, John was laid to rest alongside his wife Victoria “Vicky” and son Victor. The event was officiated by Cliff Geiger to whom we wish to express our heartfelt appreciation.
John was born on January 26, 1919 in Lemberg, SK. He met his love of his life, Victoria and they were married on May 2, 1938 at Candiac, where John and Vicky farmed and raised five sons. In 1947, John and his family moved to Regina where he began his career spanning 32 years with Bird Construction. He retired in 1980. John’s wife Vicky passed away in June of 1999.
