

Joyce leaves to cherish her memory, children Sheila (Todd), Darryl (Marissa) and Donna (John); grandchildren, Lea (Donny), Christel and Arralyssa; great-grandchildren, Savanna and Payton; brother Jerry; sister Phyllis; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and many friends. She was predeceased by her husband of 40 years, Matt; parents John and Jean Miller; grandson Ryan; sister Delores; brothers Allan, Ronnie and Melvin and son-in-law Kim.
Joyce was born and raised in Regina, SK. Early on in Joyce's life, she started a career in the service industry, where she worked as a car hop, a waitress at the Little Bavaria, and retired with 30 years of service for Canada Safeway.
Joyce was known for having a great passion for gardening, and every summer had the nicest flowers on the bay. Joyce loved dancing and music -- especially Elvis Presley. Joyce and Matt were gifted a trip from family and friends to Graceland for their 25th wedding anniversary. Mom attended many music concerts, but her favourite was Rory Allen, and she concerts numerous times.
Mom treasured many activities, baking with friends and family -- Joyce's butter tarts were loved by all. She enjoyed her husband’s many athletic events such as softball and curling. She always made time for her children, or grandchildren or family by attending there extracurricular activities especially Christmas concerts. Joyce enjoyed the outdoors and frequently took camping trips with family and friends. Mom loved to socialize by hosting numerous dinners, parties and BBQ'S in Regina, or at their lake lot in Katepwa, SK. Joyce always welcomed family or friends with an open door policy, a big smile, a cup of coffee, food, or especially in the summer a beer on the deck.
Joyce had a heart of gold, was a superb and loving caretaker, she was a gift from God who will be sadly missed but always remembered dearly with a big loving smile in our hearts.
A Celebration of Joyce’s Life will be held at Lee Funeral Home, 3101 Dewdney Avenue, Regina on Thursday, March 16, 2017 at 11:00 a.m.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to the nurses and staff on unit 4A, Dr. Vermeulen at the Pasqua Hospital and Rory Allen for singing a song and saying a prayer with Mom.
