“Morning Star Woman”
And Grandchild
Beloved mother, partner, daughter, granddaughter, sister, auntie, cousin, and friend left to be with her Creator on Friday, February 24, 2023.
Kaliyah leaves to mourn her son Treasure; partner Latrell; mother Krista Shore (Rigel); father Arden (Eva) Panipekeesick; traditional parents Randall and Kimberley; siblings Raiden (Tia), Arayah, Sequoia, Aiden, Anika, T’Keyah, Kingston, Jeremy, Tre’sean, Angel, Thunder, Taurell, Tyrell, Jordon, Casandra, Dayshia and Sonny; grandparents Garry Shore, Grandma Marlene, Patricia Panipekeesick, and Nana Doris; special uncles Christopher and Daniel; aunt Tracey; paternal aunt and uncle Tasheena and Danny; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
She was predeceased by her great grandparents Margaret Stonechild, Victor Daniels, and Emma Panipekeesick; and maternal grandmother Barbara Ann Shore.
Kaliyah was so many things to so many people. She was a new graduate, an employee with the public library, a pow wow dancer, writer, volleyball player, makeup artist, skateboarder, and a traveller. She was a supportive friend, a peacemaker, and counsellor to everyone close to her. She treated her friends as siblings and her siblings were her closest friends. Kaliyah was a wonderful daughter and central to the family in her ability to bring everyone together. She excelled at building her home fire. Her greatest role was that of a mother, to her beautiful son Treasure.
Kaliyah loved nature, animals, dragonflies, and butterflies; Zagime First Nation, sweat lodges, her church, and being with loved ones. She was kind, generous, loving, empathetic, intelligent, determined, motivated, and had a spirit that was felt by all who knew her, by nature and all of its elements. She will be forever loved, missed, cherished, and remembered.
