Kay was born in Broadview, SK on February 1, 1938. After working in Saskatoon, SK for some time, she settled in Regina. Kay’s Catholic faith was strong and prayer was her constant companion. The last few years of her life, in a senior citizens home, were spent going to mass and praying the rosary, either in the chapel or through television programs. She also enjoyed classic movies and old television series. Kay had a strong dedication to the Blessed Mary, and rosaries could be found in pockets, purses, drawers, or around her neck or wrists. She had a quick wit, a good sense of humour, and a strong will, despite the physical challenges she faced. She liked having her keyboard in her room, often playing her favourite hymn, “Here I am, Lord,” to which He has now responded by taking her home.
A special mass was held at Santa Maria Chapel.
