Ken Horvath, originally from Lestock, Saskatchewan, passed away on March 14, 2026, at the age of 64 following a short battle with cancer.
Ken spent nearly 47 years working at Regina Pioneer Village as a Facility Maintenance Operator, where he was known as a hardworking and dependable man who took pride in his work. Over the years he built many friendships and was the kind of person who could strike up a conversation with anyone. Ken loved to joke around, tell stories, and connect with people. It didn't take long for him to turn coworkers and acquaintances into friends.
Family meant everything to Ken. He was deeply devoted to those he loved and was always there when someone needed help, support, or simply a good laugh. He was the kind of man who would do anything for anyone without hesitation. His kindness, loyalty, and easygoing nature left a lasting impression on the many people whose lives he touched.
Ken shared 30 years with his wife, Carol, building a life filled with family, laughter, and strong connections.
Ken was predeceased by his father, Jim; his brothers, Lloyd Timothy and Lloyd; and his sister-in-law, Dorothy.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Carol; his mother, Ida; his brother, Allen; his sister, Gail (Craig); his stepchildren, Debbie, Tanya, Mark, Melissa, and Laura; as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren who brought him great pride and joy.
As per Ken's wishes, there will be no traditional burial or formal service.
Ken will be deeply missed and fondly remembered for his hard work, his sense of humor, and the friendships he made wherever he went.
