Laverne Nicholson

Heaven gained another angel on Monday, January 2, 2023. It is with heavy hearts that Stewart, along with friends and family announce the passing of Laverne Nicholson. Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 24 years, Stewart; fur babies Buster and Dolly; brother Carmen Bierwagen (Charlene); sister-in-law Marnie Franks (Alan); brother-in-law Kirk Nicholson; newphews Duncan and Donovan Nicholson; nieces Charlotte and Chelsea Franks, Tracey (Steve) Halladay, and Stacey (Mike) Frederick; great-niece Jordan Halladay; and many friends and cousins. Laverne entered this world on November 23, 1971 in Yorkton, SK. She graduated Melville Comprehensive in 1989 before moving to Regina. Laverne met the love of her life Stewart in 1993 and they married in the spring of 1998. Up until her passing, Laverne worked at Quill Transport in Regina. She loved wrestling, animals, and the music of Boy George. She had an outstanding sense of humour and will be sadly missed by Stewart and all who knew her. Stewart and family would like to thank the CCU staff at the Regina General Hospital, especially nurse Jenn, who went above and beyond to help make their difficult time a little easier. Memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. A Funeral Service for Laverne will be held at Victoria Avenue Funeral Home, 2080 Victoria Avenue East in Regina, SK, on Saturday, January 7, 2023 at 11:00 a.m.
