A prolific writer, reader, and knitter and a woman with a profound love for numbers and math left for heaven on Thursday, April 30, 2020. The loss was unexpected. She was born on February 2, 1944. Letitia Elin Ahlquist was the daughter of Elmo and Elizabeth Ahlquist. She was the beloved sister of Donalda, Lorna, Hedvig and Brian, who all survive her calling to heaven. “Letty,” as she was called, is a graduate of Clark College in Vancouver, Washington and a published author. Letty believed in the goodness of people; the blessings of her friends and family; and the importance of gratitude. Tim and Patty Labatte (son and daughter-in-law); Tyler and Bryce Labatte (grandsons); Leta and Mark Gorman (daughter and son-in-law) are beyond proud to call Letty “Mom” and “Grandma.” We miss you and love you.
Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die.”

letty was our landlord and great friend for the last five years. Her and I would talk almost everyday I always loved her stores about her amazing children and family. She brought so much joy into mine and jessicas life and gave us not just a roof over our heads but a place to call our home. She will be greatly missed but forever loved by us and our family .
