Linda was born on April 24, 1947, to Vaughan and Arlene Anderson in Hempstead, NY. After graduating high school she moved to Regina to attend the Canadian Bible College where she met her first husband, David Temple. They married in 1967 and went on to have five children (Tambourine, Andrew, Edward, Matthew, and Christopher).
Linda focused her attention on raising and caring for her children and supporting her husband in his career and passions. She would eventually follow her interests in helping others through her work at the YWCA, retiring in 2009.
After the loss of her first husband, she was blessed with her second marriage to James Gafencu on January 22, 2010. James stayed close by her side as her health declined and up until the end.
Linda is remembered for her beautiful quilts that she gifted to loved ones, her love of a good puzzle, and her devotion to her Christian faith.
Linda is predeceased by her parents, her first husband (David), and her son (Andrew).
Linda is survived by her children: Tambourine (Patrick), Edward (Hannah), Matthew, and Christopher; her grandchildren: Austin, Alex, Emileigh, Kaitlyn, Graeme, Elijah, Madalyn, Evangeline, Atsuki, and Wyatt. She is also survived by her husband, James, his children: Michelle (Nick) and Matthew (Vanessa), and grandchildren (Eleni and Demetry). She is also survived by her siblings (Pam, Sandy, and Vaughan).
A special thank you to the wonderful staff of Lumsden & District Heritage Home for the care and comfort given to Linda and her family.
