We sadly announce the passing of Loretta Bassendowski, late of Regina on Monday, October 15, 2018 at the age of 83 years. She was predeceased by her loving daughter Sandra Bassendowski; parents Edward and Hertha Bonesky; and her siblings Richard, Pete, Arnold, Leo, Clara and Claudia. Her memories will be carried on by Ethan, to whom she was married to for 65 years; and her loving children, Dale of Chile and Janet (Glen) Crook of Regina; grandchildren Johnathan (Jess) Crook and Daniel Crook; brother Larry (Karen) Bonesky; nieces Lorie Dean of Morse and Kelly Green of Winnipeg; sister Agnes Messer and family all of Surrey; brother-in-law Harry Bassendowske of Swift Current and his family; as well as many nieces and nephews. Mom was born August 3, 1935 at Morse, SK. She was the second youngest of nine children in the Bonesky family. She grew up on the family farm south of Morse. She was always a part of the musical activities in the local community, school and church. Music was her passion and she made certain her children carried on the family tradition. Mom was a woman of Christian faith with a hard-working nature and a caring spirit. She was a mother who dearly loved her family. Mom was proud of her profession as a realtor and began her career with Frances Olson Realty, who she worked with for many years. She continued her real estate career with many other companies and enjoyed the friendship she found at all of them. Many thanks to the doctors and nurses of 5A at the General Hospital and Grace Hospice for their care and kindness. It was greatly appreciated. Mom will be laid to rest alongside her daughter Sandra in Riverside Memorial Park. At the request of the family, please refrain from wearing scented products.
