Lorraine passed away peacefully on August 15, 2016 at the Regina Lutheran Home; just two days shy of her 82nd birthday. She was born in North Southey and grew up in and around Regina. After high school Lorraine became a teacher and dedicated over 30 years to teaching young children in Lutheran Day Schools in the United States. In the late 1970’s she returned to Saskatchewan where she continued to work with children and care for her Mother. She was a dedicated member of Mount Olive Lutheran Church, where she was involved in a prayer group and bible study.
Lorraine is predeceased by her parents, Karl and Ida (Janz) Schaffer; sister, Leona Schoepp; brothers, Alfred, Rudy and Herb. She is survived by her brother, Walter; sisters, Hilda (Doug) Dale and Linda (Paul) Marchand; aunt, Anna Schaffer; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
