Lydia I. Dengler

September 22, 1921April 26, 2021

Lydia Dengler (nee Hornoi), late of Regina, SK, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 26, 2021 at the age of 99. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 62 years, John in 2004; her parents Zarrie and Nettie; nine siblings; and son-in-law Lloyd Glass. Lydia is survived by her children, June Glass, Janice (Phil) Sutyla, Randy (Lila) Dengler, and Lynda “Lou” Bailey (Dave Keller); grandchildren Brent (Lisa) Glass, Scott Glass (Carol), Crystal (Nick) Pearce, Greg Sutyla (Amberlie), Jared Dengler (Ceili), Kimberly (Kris) Markgraf, Brandon (Carrie) Bailey, and Jasmin Bailey; great-grandchildren Olivia, Ava, and Nickolaus Pearce, and Emme and Eva Bailey; numerous nieces and nephews; and family friend Larry ‘Ace’ Bailey. The family would like to give special thanks to Sharron and her staff at the Marie Manor for the care given to Lydia during her time there. Though Nanny will be dearly missed, we take comfort in knowing that her prayers were answered. Rest in peace, Nanny. A private service will be held at a later date.

I'm still finding it hard to believe Aunt Lydia has passed as a few days before we talked about seeing each other as Covid restrictions would soon be lifted. Since I moved back to Regina we visited often and I will miss her so.
